Air Lovers is THE platform for passionate VFR pilots and aviation enthusiasts who are seeking adventures and extraordinary experiences worldwide.
With us, you connect across different airports with fellow pilots, exchange experiences, engage in discussions with experts in the field, and prepare specifically for joint or individual flight tours.
In contrast to other providers, Air Lovers also offers a moderated, interactive space where the wealth of knowledge from the community (such as briefing packages, tour suggestions, meetups, masterminds, and mental flight training) is made accessible to all members.
Our goal at Air Lovers is to enable all pilots to fully embrace their dream of flying.

The Air Lovers Crew consists of passionate VFR pilots. Each of us has our own unique history, talents, gifts and experiences.
But what unites us all is our vision:

And how do we do that?! Above all together!

And if we’re honest with ourselves, most of us unfortunately far too seldom “fly high” because life keeps getting in the way. And so we postpone our dreams and visions that are so important to us until tomorrow, next week or next month.
We felt the same way! That’s why we decided: No more excuses and distractions!
Now the journey of our lives is no longer just dreamed of, now it is actively pursued.
Our Road Map
Always with an eye on the vision and together with all pilots who share this vision, we will start the first two flight tours through Europe in 2023, both online and offline. It continues via Africa, Asia, North and South America to the realization of the great vision of flying around the world with the community!
In 2023, we will delve deeply into Europe. From “Radio Communication abroad”, to “Flying in the Alps”, airspaces to considering the topics that are important to you for the tour through Europe, we get the right experts on board, i.e. in our online sessions.
After that we will FLY our way to the next continents. One after the other. And then – around the world!

We (Alex and Monika) have already undertaken a number of flight tours and excursions abroad.
Together as the Air Lovers Team, in 2022 we realized a multi-day flight tour through Europe with other pilots who did not know each other before.
The joint briefings before, after and during the tour and the numerous unforgettable moments and experiences have contributed to the fact that our flight group grew together into a well-rehearsed team in a very short time and that the strengths of each individual team member of the crew could be brought in perfectly.

Was uns alle verbindet, ist unsere Vision: Mit 80 Piloten um die Welt!
Ob mit viel oder noch eher wenig Erfahrung – wir sprechen die Zielgruppe der Piloten an, die ihren Traum vom Fliegen wirklich (er-) leben möchten, die ihr fliegerisches Wissen stets aktuell halten und weiter vertiefen wollen – theoretisch wie praktisch – und Lust haben, neue Fliegerbuddies zu treffen und auf regelmäßigen Austausch mit anderen Piloten. All das, um fliegerisch über sich hinauszuwachsen.
Wir öffnen den Raum, der es Piloten und anderen Flugbegeisterten ermöglicht, gemeinsam in die Welt des Fliegens einzutauchen und sich (auch (inter-) national) zu vernetzen, um unvergleichliche Flugerlebnisse in der realen Welt zu schaffen – natürlich immer mit dem Blick auf die große Vision.
Wir begegnen uns auf Augenhöhe, pflegen ein respektvolles Miteinander und vertreten ein positives Mindset und echte Freude beim Ausleben unseres gemeinsamen Hobbys.

Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Aviator Meetups 2.0 und Fly High Masterminds?
Die Aviator Meetups 2.0 sind unsere (inter-) nationalen online Fliegerstammtische, bei denen der Hauptfokus auf der Community selbst, sowie dem Austausch untereinander liegt.
Die Fly High Masterminds sind Deep Dive Sessions mit Fachexperten und erfahrenen Piloten zu praxisrelevanten Themen. Hier liegt der Hauptfokus auf den Fachthemen, die spezifisch auf die Ziele unserer Community ausgerichtet sind – immer mit dem Blick auf die große Vision.
Wann finden die Aviator Meetups 2.0 und die Fly High Masterminds statt?
Die Aviator Meetups 2.0 finden jeden 2. Monat am 3. Dienstag (ab Januar 2024 am 2. Dienstag) des Monats statt.
5 Aviator Meetups 2.0 pro Jahr finden online statt. Einmal im Jahr treffen wir uns live an einem Flugplatz (vsl.) in Deutschland – dann an einem Samstag, statt Dienstag. Erstmalig ist der live Aviator Meetup 2.0 für Sa., 16. September 2023 terminiert.
Jeweils abwechselnd finden die Fly High Masterminds jeden 2. Monat am 4. Dienstag (ab Januar 2024 am 2. Dienstag) des Monats statt.
Was ist, wenn ich eines der online Events verpasse?
Wir zeichnen alle online Events, wie Aviator Meetups 2.0, Fly High Masterminds oder Next Level Experiences Briefings, auf und stellen diese im Nachgang in der Members Area als Videostream zur Verfügung.
Als Air Lovers Member hast Du Zugriff auf das gesamte Aufzeichnungsarchiv der Aviator Meetups 2.0 und Fly High Masterminds.
Wenn Du die Next Level Experiences Fliegertour gebucht hast, hast Du Zugriff auf die aufgezeichneten Briefings und Debriefings zu dieser Tour.
In welcher Sprache finden die Air Lovers Events statt?
Alle Air Lovers Events finden vorerst (solange die Community sich auf den deutsch-sprachigen Raum beschränkt) in Deutsch statt. Sollte einer unserer Special Guests (z.B. im Rahmen der Fly High Masterminds) kein Deutsch bzw. nur Englisch sprechen, findet das Event in Englisch statt.
Der Austausch dazu in kleineren Gruppen oder im Nachgang an eine evtl. Q&A Session mit dem / der Vortragenden kann in diesem Fall dann aber natürlich wieder auf Deutsch erfolgen.
Was ist, wenn ich (noch) keine Fluglizenz habe?
Als angehenden Piloten empfehlen wir Dir die Air Lovers Membership. Hier kannst Du Dein Wissen vertiefen und erweitern, Dich mit anderen Piloten austauschen und vielleicht sogar schon erste Fliegerbuddies finden.
Außerdem ist das die perfekte Vorbereitung auf spätere AusFlüge ins europäische Ausland.
Wenn Du dennoch schon jetzt gerne bei den Air Lovers Fliegertouren dabei sein möchtest, kannst Du natürlich auch eine Next Level Experiences Fliegertour buchen. Denke nur bitte daran, dass Du einen Flieger mit PIC oder FI selbst organisierst. Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme ist, dass PIC bzw. FI ebenfalls eine Next Level Experiences Fliegertour gebucht haben. Insofern kannst Du Dich natürlich auch mit einem Fliegerbuddy aus der Air Lovers Community zusammentun!
Als einfach Flugbegeisterter ohne Pilotenlizenz empfehlen wir Dir die Next Level Experiences Fliegertouren. Denke nur bitte daran, dass Du einen Flieger mit PIC oder FI selbst organisierst. Gibt es ein Widerrufsrecht für die Air Lovers Memberships oder die Next Level Experiences Fliegertouren?
Du kannst von Deiner Membership oder Fliegertour innerhalb von 14 Tagen nach Buchung zurücktreten, sofern Du die Membership bzw. die Fliegertour noch nicht in Anspruch genommen hast.
Wie lange läuft eine Air Lovers Membership?
Die Membership läuft jeweils 1 Jahr (ab Januar 2024 3 bzw. 12 Monate) und endet dann automatisch, wenn Du sie nicht aktiv verlängerst.
Für separat gebuchte Fliegertouren gibt es keine Laufzeiten.
Kann ich eine Air Lovers Membership oder Fliegertour auch als Geschenk für jemand Drittes buchen?
Das ist selbstverständlich jederzeit möglich! Bitte trage in das Bestellformular auf unserer Website die Daten des Beschenkten ein und verwende für die Bezahlung Dein eigenes Zahlungsmittel (z.B. PayPal Account bzw. Kreditkarte).
Bitte beachte, dass die Bestätigungsmails inkl. Rechnung, sowie Zugangsdaten für die Members Area an die angegebene E-Mail Adresse versandt werden.
Gibt es besondere Konditionen für Air Lovers Memberships und Fliegertouren als Gruppe?

Flight Tours
Brauche ich für die Fliegertouren einen eigenen Flieger?
Nicht unbedingt! Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Du kannst z.B.
- Dir einen Flieger beim Vercharterer Deines Vertrauens ausleihen (erfordert für eine mehrtägige Tour ggf. ein wenig Verhandlungsgeschick) oder
- Dich mit einem Fliegerbuddy (z.B. aus der Air Lovers Community) zusammenschließen, der Zugriff auf einen Flieger hat. Bitte denke in diesem Fall daran, dass Du ggf. einen Checkout benötigst, um den Flieger ebenfalls fliegen zu dürfen.
Wann finden die online Briefing Sessions für die Fliegertouren statt?
Die online Briefings zu den Fliegertouren finden jeweils am vorletzten Samstag vor Tourbeginn statt. Bei Bedarf machen wir eine zweite Session am letzten Samstag vor der Fliegertour.
Ein finales online Briefing findet in jedem Fall am Abend vor Tourbeginn statt. Die weitere Kommunikation erfolgt per Messenger.
Für den Fall, dass der ursprünglich geplante Tourtermin ausfallen muss, findet ein weiteres Briefing am letzten Samstag vor dem Ersatztermin der Fliegertour statt, sowie ein finales Briefing am Vorabend.
Für Fliegertouren, die eine aufwändigere Organisation und Vorbereitung erfordern, werden wir die Briefings entsprechend intensivieren.
Kann ich Familie und / oder Freunde auf die Fliegertouren mitnehmen?
Für Familie und Freunde, d.h. Flugbegeisterte ohne Pilotenlizenz, empfehlen wir die Next Level Experiences Fliegertouren als Einzelbuchung.
In dem Fall wärst Du natürlich PIC. Entsprechend wäre dann Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme, dass Du eine Air Lovers Membership oder ebenfalls eine Next Level Experiences Fliegertour gebucht hast.
Was ist, wenn wetterbedingt oder aus anderen Gründen keine Fliegertour möglich ist?
Sollte aufgrund des Wetters (ausschlaggebend ist hierbei das Wetter ab dem in der Routenplanung definierten Startflugplatz) oder sonstiger Ereignisse, die außerhalb unseres Einflussbereichs liegen, die Absage der Tour erforderlich sein und auch der Ersatztermin für die Tour ausfallen müssen, werden wir eine Lösung erarbeiten, die so gut möglich für alle akzeptabel ist.
In der Regel fallen Stornokosten von den Unterkünften und ggf. den gebuchten Events, sowie Aufwände für die Umorganisation an. Mögliche Optionen:
- Eine entsprechende Rückerstattung
- Eine Umplanung der Tour auf ein neues Datum oder
- Umbuchung auf die nachfolgende Fliegertour
Kann ich die Fliegertour auch an einem anderen Flugplatz starten?
Es steht Dir natürlich jederzeit frei, an einem späteren Punkt auf der Fliegertour einzusteigen. Beispielsweise, wenn Du aus Hamburg kommst und wir unsere Skandinavien Tour in Augsburg starten.
Sind die Flugrouten fest und vorgegeben?
Sofern Ereignisse, die außerhalb unseres Einflussbereichs liegen, es erforderlich machen, behalten wir uns vor, Flugziele und Flugrouten zu unserer aller Sicherheit entsprechend anzupassen.
Die Briefingunterlagen erstellen wir bzgl. der final gewählten Flugziele bzw. entlang der gewählten Flugroute. Diese dienen überdies als Grundlage für die online Briefings zur jeweiligen Fliegertour.
Du bleibst aber natürlich zu jeder Zeit selbst PIC und entscheidest als solche(r) selbst über die finale Streckenführung.

We – that’s Monika (Monika Gietl) and Alex (Alexandra Schlösser) – are the founders of Air Lovers. We both share a passion for flying, a long-standing friendship and our vision: “Around the world with 80 Pilots!”.
We have been flying since 2017. Since then we have already undertaken many (group) flight tours abroad and there may be many more to come!
